Day 1 – Psalm 1
Today we are looking at the very first Psalm and it’s worth noting that the Psalms were arranged the way they were for a reason. it wasn’t just a random choice.
This psalm was chosen as being especially suited to introduce and to open up the entire collection of Psalms. As such we should pay particular attention to this Psalm and the message that it speaks to us today.
Take your time and read these six verses through several times. As you do, take a moment to pause on those words and phrases that seem most significant to you. Think about their meanings and about their implications for you.
Ask yourself
- How much do I resemble the ‘blessed man’ in this Psalm?
- How different would my life be if I were to be so immersed in the word of God?
- What are the things in my life that distract me from His word?
